The defamation lawsuit filed by heavyweight content creator Levi Trumbull against self-described “Weird/Cringy” Ava Grace May is a legal instrument that brutally dissects the public persona of a creator built on artifice. The Complaint, filed in the Baltimore County Circuit Court, methodically exposes the alleged calculated actions of a wannabe actress and singer whose desperate pursuit of going viral with “Cringe” videos led her to publish outright falsehoods against a long standing and respected social justice content creator.
Ms. May, who is known as Ava Luna May and is a wannabe actress, devoid of any notable film credits or professional success, has focused her energy on creating “shock video content” she markets as “weird (or) cringy.” The lawsuit reveals what happens when this manufactured outrage machine is forced to contend with reality.
The conflict, according to the Complaint, began with Ava Grace May’s professional failure—retaining Mr. Trumbull’s $100 advance and property. When Mr. Trumbull, sought redress responsibly through the small claims court, the Defendant allegedly responded by escalating the dispute by publishing retaliatory songs, leading up to her false criminal accusations of stalking and harassment which she allegedly published to Instagram on September 15, 2025.
The Complaint’s most forceful attack on her credibility is her own documented contradiction. A person truly terrorized does not, hours later, admit the source of their fear was “hilariously bad” and “did not hurt” them. The lawsuit asserts that these admissions are the smoking gun—irrefutable proof of a reckless disregard for the truth and evidence that the claims were knowingly false and designed to elicit attention.
The wannabe TikTok persona of Ava May has spectacularly backfired. The Complaint clearly positions Levi Trumbull as the reasonable person, who, after offering a final chance at mature resolution via his emails, was compelled to defend his reputation against criminal accusations that caused him significant, documented harm, including “threats.” This lawsuit is a necessary and decisive measure to demand accountability from Ava May whose alleged strategy was shamelessly built on calculated, reputation-destroying deception.
The Lawsuit seeks $30,000.00 in general damages and was filed on December 8, 2025 in Baltimore County Circuit.
